About me and my therapy practice
Talking to someone can help you make sense of what is going on for you.
You can start to put things into perspective.
You may feel a massive sense of relief as you start the counselling process.
We will explore your thoughts and feelings. This allows you to understand why you feel the way you do and more important it begins the process of change.
The relationship is key in person-centred therapy and we will build this together slowly with care and trust. When you feel ok to look deeper you can at your own pace.
Counselling is an empowering process of self-exploration and insight.
One to one sessions will enable you to look inside and explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
I am non-judgemental, open and honest. I will build a relationship with you and step into your shoes with whatever personal experiences you bring into the counselling room.
I am not the expert on you, you are and I believe that you have the answers.
I work as a therapist with Serenity Counselling, Leicester and our aim is to give you hope.
Life can be difficult at times and again I believe you deserve to be happy and feel ok.
This will be updated again after COVID-19 is under control.
Following government guidelines I am only offering online therapy at present.
My first session
The first session is really a getting to know each other moment.
I will explain what I do and how I work. You can talk about why you have come and your expectations.
I will do an assessment form then the time is yours to have a counselling session.
You can talk about whatever you feel comfortable with.
This session is usually between an hour and an hour and a half.
