About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes it can feel as though you don’t want to burden your friends and family with what is on your mind and that you need someone to talk to who is completely removed from your life. I will give you that opportunity, enabling you to be completely honest, be accepted just as you are whilst talking about whatever you need to without being judged or told what you should do.
We will work together through whatever you need to. As a Person Centred Counsellor I do this by listening to what you need and find helpful and then incorporating any elements of other theories into your sessions.
Person Centred Counselling means there is no set way of how your counselling will go, as it is about ensuring you get the most from your sessions. That may mean that you talk about anything you choose, but it can also mean that I may ask you about specific topics if you prefer to work in this way.

My first session
After your initial telephone call - which provides a chance for you to ask any questions and find out more about counselling - your first session is for me to gain a greater understanding of what is going on for you right now and about what has led you to have counselling.
