About me and my therapy practice
Therapy can help you work through difficult feelings and to understand the effects those are having in your life. If you are feeling anxious, stressed or overwhelmed and this is affecting you and your daily routine, psychotherapy can be the answer.
With a psychoanalytic approach, I focus on working with young people and adults, helping them to overcome possible difficulties, and ultimately to make positive changes in their lives.
I work with weekly 50 min sessions, which are held online. My aim is to offer a non-judgemental, safe and confidential space for clients to explore the challenging feelings they may be experiencing, supporting them to establish new ways of functioning, improving their wellbeing and ensuring the best possible outcomes. I believe it is extremely important to offer a space where the client feels supported to grow and transform. It is crucial to invite the clients to talk freely, with no judgment, allowing them to feel heard and understood.
Doing psychotherapy is a satisfying journey where clients can improve their self knowledge and self esteem, being able to have a deeper understanding of who they are and what their goals are.
My first session
The first session is about getting to know the client better, what has brought them to therapy and what are their goals for the future. It is important to assess the client’s expectations about therapy and the benefits they expect to get. Clients will speak freely about their difficulties, expectations and goals. As a therapist, I will try to make sure that they feel heard and understood, and will also try to help them acknowledge that therapy is a process that will lead to a better understanding of themselves, and that both therapist and client are in this process together.
