About me and my therapy practice


My experience and specialist area is working with people who are experiencing, depression, anxiety, have had complex childhood experiences or a traumatic event. 

I use a humanistic approach to understand the difficulties you face, I do this by providing a safe, warm and empathic space, currently online,  I provide counselling to help with issues that include depression, anxiety, trauma or other stress related experiences; each explored in a safe, non-judgmental environment. I provide a calm and inviting space, which I believe is vital to developing a therapeutic relationship where you feel you can place your trust in me, allowing you to be open about what is happening for you.

I am also trained to deliver CBT if that is the approach you would prefer.

It is difficult to find the right counsellor to best help you, so I am happy to talk to you over the phone before you commit to booking sessions.

I currently work in both private practice and in GP surgeries across South Wales.  I have experience of working with students and women experiencing domestic violence. 

Practice description

I work from home as this is a private space not shared with others, I work a lot via Zoom and will continue to offer this as I feel it allows clients more freedom of choice and flexibility of access. You do need to be aware that I share my home with pets, therefore if you have an pet related allergies you need to be aware of this. I am happy for you to have your pets in the session via Zoom.

My first session

In our first session, we will look at the boundaries of counselling so that you can feel safe in what you tell me and what I do with your information.

I will complete an assessment of your current needs with you, to help me to understand your experiences and how you would like to best use your counselling sessions.

If it would be helpful we can set a goal or number of goals for your sessions, to ensure your therapy meets your needs.

It is an opportunity to make sure you are comfortable working with me and to ask any questions you may have.
