About me and my therapy practice
Finding the right counsellor can feel overwhelming when there is so much choice. As a BACP accredited counsellor with almost 30 years of experience, I have supported many people throughout a wide range of challenges in their lives.
Practice description
My whole career has focused on mental health in one way or another. I qualified as a mental health nurse in 1987 and completed my counselling training in 1993. I've worked as a counsellor and clinical supervisor in posts within the NHS, colleges, private practice and charitable organisations.
I have been a lecturer in counselling for 25 years and deliver the BACP Approved route to registration.
I have also written text books and counselling qualifications.
My first session
I offer a 15-minute free introductory chat to help us decide if we are a good fit for working together.
My appointments are currently offered via Zoom.

Our first 15 minute introductory session is free of charge and is spent getting to know each other.
I offer a concessionary rate for trainees.

I have been a full-time lecturer in counselling for 25 years and deliver the BACP Approved route to registration so I have both a MEd and TQFE in addition to my counselling qualifications. I used to deliver the BACP Professional Development Day (PDD) workshop on Suicide and Suicidal Ideation.
