About me and my therapy practice

During the time we spend together you will feel genuinely heard and understood. I will listen and support you within a warm and welcoming non-judgemental space where you are safe to talk about anything you wish to.​

Meeting your needs will always be the focus of our work together. I will regularly check in with you to make sure we are working towards your goals and we are working in a way that suits you best.

I will help you to understand why you feel the way that you do and join the dots of repeating patterns which hold you back. I will safely challenge beliefs and behaviours which work against you so you can make the changes to become who you want to be.

​From hundreds of hours working with clients, I understand the effects that traumatic events and difficult choices can have upon you and how you may be left with punishing feelings that you can't break free from or shake off. ​I will help you to build trust and confidence in your self and in your own decision making and support you to come to terms with difficult experiences so you can let them go.

Practice description

Counselling is all about you. You can talk about anything such as relationships and family, areas of your life that don't make sense or leave you unhappy, traumatic events or about feelings which leave you sad, frustrated, anxious or worried.

Talking about how life feels for you supported by a professional and experienced counsellor who really hears you and understands your world as you see and feel it will help you let go of difficult feelings and negative behaviours. Counselling helps you become free, happy and confident and able to comfortably manage the challenges of life.

My first session

Whether this is your first time coming to counselling or if you have been to counselling before, our first session will focus on helping you settle, feel comfortable and for us to begin to build a safe warm relationship where you feel able to talk freely, knowing you are not being judged and are really being listened to.

Together we will talk through your goals and expectations of what you want to achieve from coming to therapy. I will answer any questions you have and provide support through our 'working agreement' to help you through counselling.

I will tell you a little of how I work as a person centred counsellor to help enable you to feel safe to talk about what has brought you to counselling and then invite you to start wherever feels right for you. If you're unsure where to start, i'll help us begin.

You will always choose what you wish to talk about in our time together so you are able to work through what is most important to you in each session.
