About me and my therapy practice
As an integrative therapist, I'm committed to creating a safe, compassionate environment where you can explore any difficulties or challenges you may be facing. These could include issues related to self-esteem, trauma, relationships, identity, loss, major life events, anxiety, depression, feeling stuck, or searching for meaning.
As well as in my private practice, I have worked with institutions such as Mind to support clients with a range of mental health challenges which include many different forms of anxiety & depression, grief, trauma and abuse.
Having also worked with Camden Council as a counsellor for parents of younger and adolescent children, I have acquired an extensive understanding of child development and various parenting styles. As a therapist and a parent myself, I have first hand knowledge of the challenges and pressures that come with raising a child. My aim is to support clients to overcome obstacles to feeling fulfilment and contentment within their family lives.
More generally as a therapist, I understand the significance of establishing a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust. In our work together, I draw on psychological theories as needed, but my primary focus is on what is happening in the present moment of our therapy sessions. By being fully present, I aim to gain a deeper understanding of what's happening for you and provide a non judgemental, supportive environment for your healing and growth. I believe that utilizing my intuition and emotions can help us connect on a deeper level and promote a more authentic therapeutic relationship.
Practice description
I offer a free initial 15 minute phone consultation, clients can find out more about the way I work therapeutically, while I learn about the client's issues and needs. If I believe it is not the best fit, or more specialist focus is required, I'm happy to make a referral where possible.
I work in-person with individual adults, from quiet and confidential therapy rooms. I also offer online sessions via Zoom.
I welcome people of all ages, gender identities, sexualities, abilities, cultural backgrounds and ethnicity
My first session
I offer a initial 50 minutes consultation, which is an opportunity to meet on line or in person.
This session allows me to learn more about you and reciprocally provides you an opportunity to understand more about how I work without having to commit to regular sessions.
