About me and my therapy practice
My name is Amanda and I am a qualified BACP registered counsellor working towards Accreditation.
Due to the government Covid-19 issued guidelines, I am currently no longer offering face to face counselling sessions and have moved my practice to telephone and online counselling.
I am a qualified Humanistic Existential and CBT counsellor and link in Solution Focused work into my sessions.
I can appreciate that the currant pandemic may have caused increased anxiety and uncertainty as it has changed our lives considerably. I can offer you a safe space to explore this and support you through this and other difficulties and personal experiences that you may be dealing with in your life.
CBT practices focus on development of personal coping strategies, targeting and solving current problems and changing unhelpful patterns in your thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, behaviors, and emotions.
Using various theories and practices means I can offer a bespoke service.
I can work closely with you to overcome life's uncertainties, unblock any fears, uncover triggers that cause your unhappiness, help you make links to understand where you are and to enhance your own self-awareness. In doing this, you can decide whether you need to make changes and if so set goals to make those changes and plan your future.
I have a particular interest in working with anxiety, anger and trauma.
