About me and my therapy practice

I have worked as a counsellor for 20 years in private practice, in education and in the performing arts.

I work with the Person Centred Approach, taking your experience, understanding, knowledge and goals as the core of our work. My role is to support and work with you to reach those goals using my experience, understanding, knowledge and skills.

I see clients face to face in my office in the centre of Stratford-Upon-Avon and I also work online.

Practice description

I work with adults, couples and young people to support them to make the changes that they want to make.

I provide creativity-sensitive therapy for people in the performing arts and creative industries to ensure that the creative process is not impacted negatively during therapy.

I also support adults who would like to alter habits and behaviour patterns that are causing difficulties in their everyday life, work and relationships.

I qualified in 2000, having been awarded a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling from the University of Warwick. I have a Dip. H.E. in Addiction Studies from Leeds University, awarded in 2015, and completed Person Centred Couples training in 2018.

I am also MBTI Step 1 qualified.

My first session

I do not charge for our initial meeting as I feel it is important that we are sure that have a sense of each other and what the work might be before we commit to working together.

The relationship that is developed between the therapist and client is the best indicator of successful therapy, so it is important that you know who you are seeing before you agree to the work. It is also important that we decide together that counselling is the most appropriate intervention -  and - that this is the right time, before we commit to working together.
