About me and my therapy practice
I have been working as a counsellor and psychotherapist for over 15 years within education and the charitable sector, as well as managing counselling services for children and young people.
My initial counselling training was psychodynamic and my practice is integrative and draws upon contemporary therapeutic approaches such as mindfulness, CBT, and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT). I am a registered and accredited member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and my practice is fully insured.
My experience includes working with anxiety, depression, loss, childhood trauma, family breakdown, relationship issues, disordered eating, as well as more general feelings of unhappiness and dissatisfaction.
Working together, I can support you in exploring and understanding deep rooted feelings, identifying unhelpful patterns of behaviour, and developing insight into how your past may influence your present life.
Most importantly I can offer you a compassionate supportive and reflective space, free of judgement, in which to look at any issues or difficulties you may be having, at your own pace.
I am currently unable to work with clients in person but I am taking on online work; working with clients via Skype and Zoom.
