About me and my therapy practice
I'm a person-centred therapist. That means I believe that therapy is about being an understanding and supportive companion on your journey.
For me, the relationship which we can create working together is what will help you feel better, more than any particular technique or homework. Meeting with a real human being who cares about you and is interested in helping you improve your own experience of life, whatever it has been, is what makes the difference.
I'm committed to celebrating diversity and difference, and work hard to recognise my privilege and use it in a positive way as an ally. I have extensive experience with counselling on gender identity and have had many young people as clients dealing with their concerns.
I also use my work teaching counselling to make sure I keep at the forefront of research, along with the PhD I am due to start in 2024 about supporting therapists working with suicidal clients.
If you'd like to talk, please phone or email and I'll be very pleased to help.
