About me and my therapy practice
Please see my website www.motion2emotion.co.uk for information, latest news, fees and 'special' offers and Client testimonial.
Therapy is about supporting people to explore, identify and potentially understand the problem. As an experienced Humanistic Integrative Therapist, I provide the environment for Clients to explore what is happening in their world. I do appreciate entering into therapy is sometimes not an easy thing to do. But having the opportunity to talk to someone, who really listens, can help make the difference for them, to look at ways of enhancing their own life. What is fundamental to support this process, is the ‘Therapeutic Relationship’ that needs to exist between the Client and the Therapist in build a trusting and safe environment without the Client feeling judged or shamed.
As everyone is different, I work in a ‘Relational Need’ way, using a blend of Psychotherapy & Counselling theories, styles and techniques, that I am trained in. This allows me flexibility working with Clients by using one or often more than one style to explore the problem. I also like to incorporate my own creative style approaches, including images, metaphors, dreams, two chair work, objects and artwork. This approach can potentially allow Clients to express themselves in a different way other than just using verbal, that still has meaning. I work very much with the unconscious part of the Client. The part often Clients often do not initially connect with, but when explored, can help them understand the problem.
