I currently have availability to welcome new clients and I can offer daytime and evening appointments on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday both online or face-to-face.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative counsellor which means I combine different therapeutic styles to best fit your needs and tailor the sessions to work for you.

My role is not to tell you what to do nor can I give advice, but I can help you develop your own insights, understand the cause of your issues and to find ways of coping so you are able to resolve them. I work at your pace with you deciding what you want to explore and when, so you are always in control of what you share in therapy.

I offer a safe and non-judgemental space to help you process difficult feelings and events you may be dealing with and I have experience in a variety of areas including anxiety, bullying, conflict, loss, relationships, self-esteem, stress, trauma or work-related issues as well as working with survivors of sexual violence. I have specialised training as a mother-daughter attachment counsellor supporting clients to explore the relationship with their mother and/or daughter.

Practice description

I offer both short-term and long-term counselling depending on your needs, which we can discuss when we meet. Sessions are on a weekly basis, usually held at the same day and time each week though I do try to accommodate shift work and other commitments clients may have.

I work with men and women over the age of 18 and while I am happy to work with any issues my clients bring, it is important that you get the correct support. If I feel that I am not best person for you to work with, I will discuss this with you and try to help you find the right support.

My first session

Finding the right counsellor can feel overwhelming and it is important you are comfortable working with me, therefore I offer a free 15/20-minute telephone or video call to help you decide if I am the right person for you.

At your first session we will continue to get to know each other and discuss your hopes and expectations for counselling. I will ask you some questions about your history and your goals and there will be some paperwork to complete.
