About me and my therapy practice

Feeling anxious a lot of the time, depressed, angry, frustrated; Periods of low mood, feeling distant from friends and family; Stressed from recent life-changes; Sad and isolated; Struggling to hold things together; Plummeting at small setbacks and getting tense and nervous; Mood swings, lack of motivation, not feeling in control of life; Getting panic attacks; Difficulties in a relationship, feeling guilty all the time with no apparent explanation; Problems at work, pressure from colleagues, managers or clients; Loss of a loved one, grief, bereavement, changes.

Counselling is a journey, sometimes a tough one but from the moment we begin our counselling relationship, I will be by your side as you take it. I am fully trained, accredited CBT counsellor who will support and help you in finding your way through changes, loss, grief, bereavement, emotional pain. I, at JensWellnessTherapy will offer you a safe, warm, confidential and comfortable place for you to discuss, explore, reflect, find emotional release and help you to get clarity to a problem that has been troubling you. You will feel respected, understood and valued; and we will work together towards the changes you want in your life.

The relationship and connection with your counsellor are key to this process, therefore, I work to create a space where you feel you can trust me to support you when you may be feeling at your most vulnerable or distressed. The end result: counselling can lead to an overall increased feeling of well-being, self-awareness, confidence, a greater understanding of difficulties and acceptance of challenging circumstances.

I am offering face to face counselling and online sessions using the online video platform, Zoom.

Please contact me if you have any questions or to book your initial consultation.

New Clients are still being accepted.

Practice description

I am an accredited member of the BACP. I have worked in various settings within the public, charitable and private sectors. I also currently work part time for Steps 2 Wellbeing within the NHS. I attend regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) workshops to keep my skills and knowledge up to date.

I have specialist training in, and particular experience of, providing bereavement counselling, although my practice is by no means limited to this. Loss, in its many forms, can be core to much of what we bring to and explore in therapy. Present day losses of any kind (e.g. of a relationship, status, health, functioning, achievement, aspirations, lifestyle, routine) might trigger depression and loneliness and, in some cases, memories of past losses that exploration in therapy can help you to process.
