About me and my therapy practice

Hello.  I am a BACP Registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with over 16 years counselling experience.  I offer a warm and confidential safe space for you to discuss whatever is causing you difficulties: whether it's from the past, present, or fear of the future.

I have worked with a wide range of issues including: depression, anxiety, self harm, anger, substance misuse, anger, relationships, loss and bereavement.  During our work together you can express and explore difficult feelings and, in time, resolve whatever you feel is the cause of your distress.    Together we can explore your inner world to recognise unhelpful patterns and find alternative, healthier ways of being.

Appointments are available Monday-Thursday during the day and early evening.  I offer a free 30 minute meeting in order for you to see if you feel that I am the right counsellor for you.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a fully qualified clinical supervisor and hold a PG Dip in Clinical Supervision.  I work with all trainee counsellors, qualified counsellors and psychotherapists and other members of staff working in the helping professions such as teaching, nursing and social care.

Since qualifying as a counsellor fifteen years ago, I have worked for over ten years in a local, busy counselling agency as a Counselling Co-ordinator providing support to all volunteer counsellors.  Alongside this, I have extensive experience in all matters relating to Safeguarding and Child Protection matters.

For me, it is vital that supervision provides a safe and non-judgemental space for you to reflect on your client work, as well as exploring what may be going on for you in your work.  It is also important for me to assist you in enhancing your confidence and professional growth so that you may provide the best possible outcomes in your work with your clients.
