About me and my therapy practice

The experience of coming for therapy is an opportunity for you to discover for the first or subsequent time in life that you can let go of all the judgements, the fear and hesitation, and begin to talk about what is bothering you. We become wounded within a sense of connectedness - in families, relationships, friendships and society - and paradoxically it is within a sense of connectedness that we can begin to heal. Healing the emotional brain takes time, but it is a creative and deeply fulfilling process that brings wonderful gifts with itself. I help my clients to begin to feel more balanced and calm within their mind and body.

I work with clients going through moderate to severe distress, and some of the common issues that I work with are: anxiety, depression, Complex Trauma, relationship issues, survivors of domestic violence and post-traumatic stress. I help my clients to feel more grounded and functional in life, before they feel ready to reflect upon their past experiences.

Opening up about your life in psychotherapy can be a very anxiety-provoking experience for many, and therefore, I can assure you that the work I do is not about judgement, but it is to get a deeper understanding of what is going on for you. And to offer you a space where you can be heard and seen. I welcome the use of art and poetry in the therapy sessions.

Long-Term and Short-Term Therapy

In addition to long-term psychotherapy, I offer a once-weekly counselling programme of 10 weeks to individuals in order to teach them emotional self-regulation skills that are informed by mindfulness and affect regulation theories.

Practice description

My consulting room in Marylebone (North West London) is a five minutes walk from London Marylebone Station. In my practice I work with Adult clients (18+), and I also welcome working with LGBT clients.

For individuals with an insurance policy, I currently accept the following insurance plans: Aviva, AXA Health, Vitality Health, Aetna Global Benefits.

My first session

Each appointment lasts for exactly 50 minutes. Our first appointment will be a relaxed assessment session where I get to understand your presenting problems, what brings you to therapy and also to understand your life history. It is also a space where you get to notice if you feel comfortable talking to me.

Therapy begins from the second session onward. I offer a relaxed space where you can begin to tune into yourself and talk about what is bothering you, without any pressure or fear of judgement.
