About me and my therapy practice
Adult, Children and Young Persons Supervisor.
I have been working as a supervisor for over 15yrs, supervising other counsellors and therapists that work with children, YP and adults. I have worked for secondary schools, colleges, young carers, EAP companies, Charities and children homes.
As a supervisor I will provide the right conditions to help you feel supported. Encourage you to lay out your practise issues in your own way. Help you explore and clarify thinking and feelings underlying your practise. I will give clear, constructive and honest feedback, share experience and skills. Encourage you to share personal and professional blind spots. I will be supportive, encouraging, and enthused. All offered in a safe, non judgmental, confidential setting. I offer regular reviews. My role is to ensure that you are working safely and ethically in accordance with your professional framework. Mine is the BACP.
As a supervisee it will help you if you prepare for supervision, ask for help when needed, Identify practise issues that need to be brought to supervision, you are able to share issues of concerns, keep notes of your own practise and supervision session notes.
Having a good sense of humour for both parties is a must!!!
Supervision reports available and references.
I can offer supervision to counsellors, therapists, learning mentors and members of safe guarding teams. Trainees can access supervision at a reduced rate when available.
I offer face to face sessions, online and group sessions.
I offer a professional, ethical, flexible and non- judgemental service.
