About me and my therapy practice
I work with individuals to offer a possibility of creating a space in the session together, to work with what is going on and the impact on you now. I believe it is important to recognise each person’s individuality and I therefore adapt the resources and tools offered accordingly, within the sessions.
My approach is integrative, meaning I use and combine elements from a wide range of counselling and therapy approaches, to include and work with a deeper understanding of the self.
Working holistically, I include values and meanings which are important to you. I also engage with your current reason for querying therapy, wondering how the current climate, your family history, trans and intergenerational patterns, race, class, culture, disability, sexuality, gender and religious/spiritual beliefs, interweave.
My aim is to ensure the therapy and counselling is flexible and adapted to you. I understand beginning therapy can be daunting, meeting for our first session allows us to see how we would feel working together and give space to discuss your ideas and expectations for the therapy.
I am recognised by insurers: Aetna and Aviva.
