About me and my therapy practice

Struggling to make sense of things or finding it difficult to cope?

Counselling can help you come to terms with things, and make real changes in your life.

I provide a warm, supportive safe space which is non-judgmental and confidential.

Whether your reasons for seeking counselling stem from past traumas or current struggles

My sense is that when we feel overwhelmed, we often cannot see the solutions that are within our grasp and thus we remain stuck. I also firmly believe that many of life’s problems can be alleviated by sharing them with someone who is trained to listen

I am a big believer in going at a pace that is comfortable for you. Giant leaps all begin with gentle steps.

I know that coming to Counselling can seem daunting but I like to consider myself to be a very approachable person.  Have a read of my profile and how I work to see if you feel we could work together.

Practice description

I work online using Zoom, email or IM. I also offer telephone counselling.

I am currently not offering face to face sessions in line with the BACP guidance regarding covid19.  Once this pandemic is over I will resume this service.  When I do I will be returning to use the therapy rooms at Beaumaris Wellbeing in Newport Shropshire.  These premises offer a reception service, free parking and very private custom built therapy rooms.

My first session

I offer a professional, confidential and friendly therapeutic space for you to explore what is troubling you. Your sessions will be either online, telephone, email. IM or face-to-face in a warm and safe environment, where you can bring any subject you wish to discuss without fear of judgment.

Counselling can lead to improved self-esteem, self discovery, growth, confidence and understanding.

Counselling can be very helpful for many things including –

Depression, Loss & Bereavement, Anxiety, Anger, Trauma, Abuse and many other difficulties

With time our counselling relationship will develop trust and as this happens you may find yourself able to explore more about what is causing you inner turmoil.
