About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling trapped by low mood or depression? Do you find it difficult to be motivated, or even just get out of bed? Are you feeling lost, overwhelmed or too anxious to make decisions to progress in your life? Are you unable to stop certain behavioural patterns even if they are making you feel worse? Do you suffer from PTSD symptoms (i.e., disassociation, numbness, flashbacks, panic, sleeping problems)?
I believe that change is possible. I offer a safe, warm and confidential space to help you make sense of current and past events as well as your thoughts, emotions and behaviour. You can learn new (mind and body) techniques to help you cope better, thrive and live a happier, more fulfilled life.
I offer a holistic approach (Person-Centred Therapy, CBT and Yoga Therapy) that looks at the whole person rather than just a single area of a person’s life to work towards changes that you may be looking for.
Over time, you can understand yourself better and find new ways of dealing with your inner struggles and break negative behaviour patterns. While talk therapy lets you understand your story in a cognitive way, yoga therapy can help reshape your response to triggers on a physical level and you will learn techniques that help to overcome feelings of numbness and anxiety.
I have been working for more than a decade with teenagers and young adults in private practice, youth counselling services and as a high school counsellor. I also have extensive background supporting women affected by domestic violence and sexual trauma.

You can choose Talking Therapy, Yoga Therapy or the combination of both (no Yoga experience is necessary!) I will explain to you how the therapy process works and answer any questions you may have. If you feel we’re a good fit you can book your first session.
Person-centred therapy is a humanistic approach that deals with the ways in which individuals perceive themselves consciously, rather than how a counsellor can interpret their unconscious thoughts or ideas.
As your therapist I try to understand your reality (how the world works from your point of view) and support you to explore solutions to your problems. This will include increasing your self-awareness, improving your ability to use self-direction to make changes in your life, improving your self-esteem, and self-efficacy.

Yoga therapy focuses on the integration of mind and body to enhance mental health. It draws on yogic principles and practices, such as physical yoga postures, meditation, breathing techniques, and relaxation exercises, to improve mental and physical well-being.
The treatment plan and techniques used in yoga therapy can vary based on your age, physical ability, and unique needs. The exercises and postures of yoga therapy focus on the mind and body simultaneously, developing both mental and physical awareness. This helps with mind-body integration and improves mindfulness.
Yoga therapy can be helpful in the treatment of mental health conditions such as:
