About me and my therapy practice
Hello! My name is Malka I am a fully qualified counsellor/ Psychotherapist and Creative Arts Therapist. I have my own private practice which I run from my home. I have over fifteen years of experience in both private practice and the NHS.
I can offer you a warm and friendly space in my consulting room in North East London where we can talk about what brought you for counselling. You might want a few sessions or perhaps would want a longer period of open-ended work to talk through what's been troubling you. Either way, I will be interested in how you experience your life and explore with you what might be hard to explain, painful of sad. We can look at what you might need, and the things that get in the way.
I will facilitate you with my understanding to be curious towards all of your experiences, those you struggle with and those you might never have been able to speak about and you may discover new feelings. In time as you begin to vocalise some of this you may find some acceptance and relief and this in itself may help you build resilience. I believe in change and helping my clients achieve their full potential through a safe trusting therapeutic relationship that offers empathy respect and unconditional positive regard. I also work with young people and children and use creative arts where the images created provide the unconscious with a voice.
