About me and my therapy practiceI provide a friendly confidential counselling and psychotherapy service and either short term or longer term work is undertaken according to the client's needs. I have training in a number of different theoretical frameworks and in the first few sessions we decide on a focus and approach that might suit each individual concerned. Sessions are usually 50 minutes in length and once a week but can be more or less frequent according to the clients needs.
On line via Zoom or Skype, telephone if preferred. I am also returning to doing some face to face work subject to Government guidelines and patients signing a covid-19 agreement.
Sessions are held in a well ventilated sunny room with minimum contact, entering through a door at the back so they don't have to move through the house. Hand sanitizer is provided.
My first session
First contact on the phone if free and up to 30 minutes.
First session usually involves agreeing dates and times of sessions, taking a few contact details ( confidentiality agreement signed) and an outline of what brings you to seek help. Plus any relevant history that you are happy to discuss.
