About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP Accredited counsellor with over 20 years of counselling experience. My primary approach is person-centred and this forms the foundation of my practice. Additionally, I have training in CBT and solution focused counselling with extensive experience in working within the short-term context.
Counselling can provide a safe, non-judgmental and confidential environment that enables us to explore current issues in our lives in the context of our experience. It is a creative process, which facilitates healing and change as we gain insight into our patterns of behaviour and ways of being in the world.
I see counselling as a facilitative and collaborative process which takes place within the context of the therapeutic relationship. I welcome the opportunity to work with people in distress who may want to focus on a particular difficulty or problematic areas in their lives. Equally I welcome people wanting to engage in the therapeutic process for inner inquiry and for personal development. I work with people across the arts who may be struggling or feeling stuck in their creative process.
