About me and my therapy practice

Thank you for visiting my profile.
As a Counsellor, I offer a safe, confidential setting for you to talk about what is causing you distress.  I will listen to you and not judge you, helping you gain insights and explore more helpful ways of looking at things.

I have lived and worked in the Far East and mainland Europe, before coming to the UK, and can relate with clients going through similar transitions. Before training as a counsellor, I was a team leader working on projects in a multi-national organisation.

MY COUNSELLING EXPERIENCE includes working within the NHS, in a hospice for families facing terminal illness, a Christian counselling agency and my private practice.

FREE INITIAL 20 MINUTE SESSION
It takes courage to seek help from someone, and selecting a counsellor can be daunting. This is a Skype or phone initial consultation  without obligation, so that we can decide whether we can work together.

MY PRACTICE - As an integrative counsellor, I draw from a variety of counselling models so as to best serve the unique person that you are, and your life journey. I also incorporate Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Gestalt, Creative and Visual techniques.

Sometimes, social and ethnic cues you learnt growing up, may no longer fit your present circumstances, and so affect your well-being. These may be taken into account, if relevant.

If you find it helpful, we can also explore spirituality and faith. Painful present-day realities may prompt us to look beyond the veil of our material existence. On the other hand, they may make us question any existing beliefs we may have, and this may be distressing in itself.

I am happy to counsel clients of all faiths, or none.
