About me and my therapy practice

Reaching out for help takes courage at a time when you might be struggling, feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or generally stuck. My aim is to help you feel safe and comfortable within therapy, to build trust, and to promote hope that you can make the changes you may wish to make.

I offer, with sensitivity and empathy, a confidential and non-judgemental space where we can explore whatever is on your mind.

You might want to talk to me about about feeling anxious or depressed, a stressful life event, health related worries, dealing with a bereavement or loss, relationship difficulties / breakdowns, trauma you've experienced including abuse, work related issues e.g. bullying or discrimination, or struggles with self-esteem, confidence, or identity.

I can support you by providing a calm and reflective space where you can focus on you and explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to gain a greater level of understanding about yourself. We can then look at what you might want to change and ways you can do this in order to live a more fulfilling or peaceful life, or to heal.

I have worked as a therapist in a variety of settings within the voluntary and higher education sectors, working with a wide range of issues and with clients of all ages. This experience means I’m skilled at providing short and long term therapy, and adapting my approach to meet the unique needs of my clients.

Practice description

I am a relationally trained counsellor and psychotherapist which means I see a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship as key to bringing about change. I work in an integrative way which means I use a range of different counselling theories and techniques depending on the nature of the issue, and will tailor my approach to what might work best to help you to achieve your personal therapy goals. We would work at a pace to suit you.
