About me and my therapy practice
My training is in person centred, humanistic and psychodynamic counselling. My background is in educational settings where I supported young adults and staff.
My practice is currently based exclusively online and I work on a Short term ( set of sessions), or long term basis. Sessions take place on Zoom and last for 50 minutes.
I am a therapist who does challenge and will encourage you to work at depth, though all in a safe and aware manner, and at your pace. I believe that at the core of good therapy is the therapeutic relationship and feeling safe.
My therapeutic style is described as 'integrative,' though I tend to lean most towards person-centred and psychodynamic. This basically means that I believe it is you who holds the knowledge and expertise in yourself. Combining this with my learning, we can unpack past events, belief systems and defence mechanisms together to gain insight and healing.
Some of the issues that I work with are:
Depression
Anxiety
Stress
Low self esteem
Inner child
Lack of confidence
Work related stress
Relationship issues
Bereavement or loss
Divorce or separation
Anger and anger management
Inner conflict
Eating disorders
Postpartum depression
Practice description
I set up my practice with the aim to provide a warm therapy space that people could access without fear of judgement. I take a modern approach to therapy, which is informed by not just my training, but also my own lived experiences.
I like to get to know you as an individual and to understand how you became the person you are today. This means exploring your background and family dynamics. My primal approach is to support you in your present life and discover the blocks that may be preventing you from living the life you want.
Therapy sessions are lead by you where we explore your concerns and find gentle ways of healing. Discussing achievable steps towards change in cognitive thinking or behaviours can then be empowering and life changing.
My first session
I offer an initial free fifteen minute phone introduction.
This initial consultation is an opportunity to tell me a little about yourself and what you would like from therapy. It is also an opportunity for you to get to know me a little and get a sense for how I work.
Full therapy appointments take place over zoom and last for fifty minutes.
I offer short term (block bookings) and long term appointments. I offer some flexibility in appointment bookings.

About me and my therapy practice
Talking therapy can alleviate the pain you may be experiencing.
Welcome to my profile. I set up my practice in 2015 with a focus on helping people explore and develop their self worth by understanding themselves better.
Through talking together, unique personal difficulties and struggles surface naturally. This helps us to explore sensitive issues which may have previously remained closed and inaccessible. Making changes to thought patterns and behaviours can then begin to bring shifts in perspective for an improved future.
I create a compassionate, confidential space where you can begin to unravel any personal challenges you are experiencing. I tailor a blend of therapy approaches to meet your needs. We work together to gain a deeper awareness of your present thoughts, emotions and behaviours. This assists you to gain a non- judgemental place of your difficulties to support a healthier sense of self.

About me and my therapy practice
We have all experienced times when life feels more challenging and we can feel anxious, depressed or lost.
In my practice, I walk with you as we explore your current concerns. We can discuss necessary tools for you to develop and use in taking care of yourself as you begin to understand the roots of your thinking and core beliefs.
I offer a calm and supportive confidential space for you to feel heard and understood. This can support you to feel empowered as you grow a deeper understanding of yourself and personal relationships.
Unravelling any anxiety, stresses or low mood can help you to manage uncomfortable emotions and help self regulate with healthy coping skills.
I encourage curiosity around your thinking and self beliefs. I also encourage you to consider how you make necessary time to meet your own needs.
We can explore how you maintain healthy boundaries - How do you cultivate healthy communication and healthy boundaries in your work and relationships. What is stopping you for being the person you would like to be?
Practice description
An initial fifteen minute phone consultation or therapy appointment (fifty minutes), provides an opportunity for us to discuss how I can support you.
If you decide you would like to work with me, we will agree upon suitable appointment times to talk on a regular basis to facilitate and give momentum to the therapeutic process. Regular online contact provides a sense of security and continuity whilst you are engaged in therapy.
Identifying psychological blocks and feeling understood can help you to express and process your insights in new ways. Gently embracing new thoughts can guide us to develop and try new behavioural tools with a fresh direction in life.
I work at a pace that you set which allows themes of discussion to surface naturally and when you are ready. This guides you to set your therapeutic aims for therapy.
My first session
Appointments are exclusively online via Zoom.
In this first meeting we can explore what has brought you to therapy. I will also ask you about your family relationships and how you are caring for yourself.
The direction of therapy is guided by your needs in the present moment. Often insights or a grouping curiosity surfaces between sessions. I will explain any therapeutic insights with you and we can set achievable goals and develop new tools of insight.
