About me and my therapy practice
I have worked with individuals and couples for forty years, and offer a wealth of experience working with depression, anxiety, relationship and other emotional difficulties.
I qualified as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor in 1990, having already worked for ten years as a social worker with individuals and families in crisis.
Alongside my current private practice, I worked for many years with Highgate Counselling Centre, both as a counsellor for individuals, in the initial consultation team and as part of its couple and families team. I was Course Director of its Certificate in Counselling Skills course for several years, and I specialise in Attachment, Separation, Loss and Bereavement.
For the last nine years I have jointly led a weekly group for carers who have a family member with special needs, at a local church.
In my private practice I work in person from a pleasant consulting room in my garden studio in Crouch End. I also offer online, phone and FaceTime sessions. My approach is warm, welcoming and non-judgemental. I work sensitively and gently at the pace set by the client.
