It is important in counselling that you feel comfortable with the counsellor of your choice and that the counsellor feels they are the best person to address your specific needs; and so we arrange a time by telephone or email for a free 20 minute, no obligation consultation prior to therapy beginning.
I am presently working via zoom and telephone counselling. You do not need to download zoom, I will send you a direct zoom link for our appointment to your email address.
About me and my therapy practice
Life can be difficult and confusing at times. Having a professional ear to support you can help you to explore feelings, your goals and to find the clarity that you may be seeking.
I have a background in Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and am currently studying Mind-body therapies in trauma.
I am a qualified Person-Centred Therapist and a 'You Can Heal Your Life' certified workshop leader in Self-development.
Counselling is a process. I find the Person-Centred Approach fits my own philosophy. At its very core, the Person-Centred counselling believes that each and every person can and will, become a more ‘fully functioning’ person if given the correct conditions.
The underpinning principles are focused on the counsellor being honest, non-judgmental and fully accepting whilst being fully integrated in the relationship, allowing the client to lead and set the pace. I aim to offer these conditions as best as I can.
My first session
In our first session we go through an agreement of confidentiality and the few limitations of therapy.
Once agreed, you begin where it is, that feels most comfortable for you and together we begin to move forward...
