About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor working from a quiet and peaceful location in the Northumberland countryside. I am a registered member of BACP and a member of Northern Guild Psychotherapy and Counselling where I received my training.
Counselling is a safe space where you can explore whatever problems or uncertainties you are facing. I will work with you in an empathic and non-judgemental way to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, helping you to rebuild confidence, self-esteem and resolve your struggle. My warm and friendly approach gives you freedom to work at your own pace, without any pressure, as you find your own path and build resilience.
My approach to counselling is integrative and client-centred, meaning I use a range of different theories and methods depending on your needs. I will always put my client at the heart of the work and treat each client as a unique individual.
I understand how daunting it can be to take that first step into counselling and it is important that you find a counsellor who you trust and feel comfortable with. I aim to provide a supportive, nurturing and confidential space where you can discover new meaning, a deeper understanding of yourself and a sense of empowerment, so you can go out into the world feeling confident to live a full life.
