About me and my therapy practice
Whatever your reasons for coming to counselling, I hope to offer you the opportunity to own and explore your thoughts and feelings in a non-judgemental, safe and supportive setting. I have had counselling myself at difficult times in my life and so appreciate the value of counselling, and of finding the right counsellor.
How I work
My approach is integrative - this means I work within a variety of therapeutic approaches, allowing me to draw on the elements that will work best for you. Counselling is a collaborative process and my aim is to work with you so that you get the most out of our time together.
I provide face-to-face counselling for adults aged 18 or over. As I believe that it is important for you to feel comfortable with me as your choice of counsellor, I offer a FREE initial 30-minute face-to-face meeting to see how it might feel for us to work together, for you to ask any questions you may have, and to explore your hopes for therapy.
Ongoing sessions are 50 minutes and we'd usually meet at the same time each week. I offer concessionary rates, including a £35 rate for student counsellors.
Counselling can be short term, where we define a set amount of sessions in order to explore a particular issue, or on an ongoing basis where we work to an end when it feels appropriate to do so.
