About me and my therapy practice
I'm an experience counsellor in central Croydon working with clients since 2010. I offer sessions to both individuals and couples and provide a safe and comfortable place to talk about and work through what you are finding difficult.
Are you struggling to cope, find yourself not talking or having the same arguments again and again. It is normal to feel anxious or depressed at times but has been going on for too long? Maybe you are feeling angry or numb, overwhelmed or having panic attacks? Struggling with our feelings and thoughts can have a big impact on large parts of our lives - relationships, work, wellbeing and peace of mind etc.
You might have tried dealing with this on your own or talking to friends and family has not worked or is not possible. Talking to a qualified therapist provides a confidential and safe space for you to begin to talk about what is troubling you.
I work in a non-judgemental, open minded way and will help you to talk through what you are going through and to explore how events from the past can contribute to your life right now. I work in a practical and grounded way and that includes offering techniques that can be helpful on a day to day basis.
It can feel daunting to contact a counsellor but can be an important step to start to feel better. Things don't have to go on the way they are.
I offer a free 15-20 minute phone consultation before a decision to meet for an initial session. I look forward to hearing from you.
I work with Individuals in online session on Zoom or Skype or on the telephone. - £60 per 50 min session
I offer Walk & Talk sessions for individuals. - £65 per 50 min session
I work with couples and relationships online. on Zoom or Skype - Either weekly 50 min sessions at £75 or 14nightly 90 minute sessions at £100. Please note that there would be a set format of sessions comprising of joint and individual sessions at the start of the work.
My first session
An initial session - whether "remote" or face-to-face is an opportunity for us to meet online and to find out if we would like to go on to work together in further sessions.
The format of the initial session will be that I will ask for some administrative details and we will talk in more detail about what is bringing you to counselling. You will also be able to ask any questions you may have.
I will also be asking you some questions about you and your life in general which is to help me to get to know you and to understand how I can best help you.
At the end of this session there will be an opportunity for us to discuss what the experience has been like for you and we will discuss if we are going to go on to work together in further sessions. You may want to decide there and then or take some time to consider this. If we do decide to work together then the minimum number of sessions I offer is 6. After that we will review how it has gone and whether we continue or stop.
The initial session will last approximately 60 mins please note that any further sessions would be weekly, at the same day and time of the week and will last for 50 minutes.
