About me and my therapy practice
Are you struggling to navigate through these challenging times? Feeling anxious, depressed, out of control, at a cross-roads in your life, relationship problems, menopause or simply out of sorts and need someone to talk to.
Are you coming to terms with a loss, be it through bereavement, job, friends, lifestyle, partner, finances? I am here to listen and help you unravel the issues that are holding you back from living your life the way that you want to.
Counselling can seem daunting and it takes courage and a willingness to change to make those first steps. The outcome can be life changing and I will be your companion in helping you to unravel the issues that are causing you discomfort.
Although I am a predominantly Person Centred Counsellor, I integrate other modalities i.e. CBT, mindfulness, TA to suit your needs and we can work together to find out what works best for you.
I am an open minded individual, have life experience, travelled extensively, lived and worked overseas and experienced different cultures. All of this enhances my practice and helps me to understand my clients, adapt, empathise and fully be with them in a non-judgemental space.
Our relationship will be based on trust, honesty and respect and this will allow therapeutic growth to flourish.
My first session
The first session will allow you the freedom to tell me what has brought you to therapy and the issues causing you discomfort.
You are in charge of your sessions whether it be a one off session to work through an immediate issue or an ongoing journey of self-awareness and discovery.
I offer 50 minute sessions by telephone or zoom and face to face sessions at my counselling room in Heaton Moor or Didsbury. There are also a limited number of concessionary places available.
