About me and my therapy practice
I am a compassionate and experienced Counsellor, Clinical Supervisor, Cognitive Behaviour Psychotherapist and EMDR Practitioner, with experience in the NHS, voluntary and private sectors. I originally trained as a Registered Mental Health Nurse and I have over 22 years’ experience of working in a therapeutic capacity. This experience has allowed me to develop the diverse skills required to work with a wide range of psychological issues. I now specialise in adult mental health and have a particular interest in working with PTSD, Anxiety issues, Depression and some neurological problems. I work from premises in Monkton Village in Jarrow and Gateshead Therapy Centre. I can also offer some evening appointments and Saturdays. Choosing the right therapy may not be easy and making the first contact with a therapist can sometimes be daunting. My clients often comment that they find my manner warm and approachable, so if you wish to contact me directly I will be happy to explain more about the therapies I can offer in relation to your difficulties. I accept referrals from individuals, organisations, insurance companies, solicitors and other professionals. What I can help with
