About me and my therapy practice
I believe that the experience of being truly listened to, and accepted, is deeply nourishing and this is at the heart of my work.
Choosing the right counsellor can be quite difficult when you have much on your mind already but feeling comfortable and safe with your counsellor is the most important aspect for it to be of help to you. Let this be your gift to yourself. It is a privilege for me to offer it to you.
I am a member of BACP and trained to offer integrative counselling (using more than one approach) in person centred and psychodynamic approaches. Put very simply, person centred counselling focusses on your life mainly in the present and psychodynamic counselling looks into the past making connections with how you feel and manage today.
Whatever the approach, counselling can be a journey of self discovery. It is not for giving answers but for helping to find them and becoming empowered to make change where it's needed.
I have three years' experience as a volunteer for Cruse Bereavement Care; Bexley Adult Education College; Mind Bexley and Westmeria Counselling Service. Today, I have a calm and peaceful room at home for my counselling practice and I look forward to meeting you.
"Hope is not the conviction that something will turn out well but the certainty that something makes sense, regardless of how it turns out." Vaclav Havel
