About me and my therapy practice
The idea of coming to speak to another person, a stranger, about the things that are troubling you might seem initially frightening or even alien. I approach each counselling relationship with warmth, openness and humour. I hope that when we meet you will feel welcomed and enabled to tell your story.
Throughout the counselling process, I will listen empathically to what you have to say, and help to support you and guide you through an exploration of your past and present. We will mostly do this by simply talking to one another but sometimes we might use creative means if it seems like this would be more helpful.
It is through both better understanding of yourself and the supportive therapeutic relationship that real change is made possible. Counselling can offer you a space to be heard and listened to, to find new ways of approaching your life and to feel like you can be more fully yourself in the outside world.
I am an integrative relational counsellor, meaning I draw on several theoretical models to inform my understanding and to tailor my approach to the needs of my clients. I value our differences and welcome enquiries from people of all nationalities, ethnicities, cultural identities, sexualities, genders and personal experiences. Please get in touch to make an initial appointment or have a look at my website find out more.
