I will be offering remote sessions online only during the pandemic on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the option of an introductory face-to-face session if appropriate.
About me and my therapy practice
The way I work is all about helping and guiding you to make the changes you would like to see in your life.
I am qualified in and practice a few different styles, depending on your need. First and foremost, I believe you need to feel safe and comfortable to talk to me and will focus on us building a good relationship to start with.
After this, my approach varies, depending on what suits you best. Generally, these are:
1) Coaching and using CBT interventions (CBT is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)
This style is issue-specific, e.g., anxiety, stress. Sessions are likely to be fairly structured and goal oriented and will involve addressing how your thoughts and behaviours influence your feelings.
2) Creative therapy
Sessions are likely to be less structured, more free flowing and I specialise in using therapeutic writing techniques to aid expression.
Much of the focus will be in the 'here and now', without any set agenda. It is a chance for you to be witnessed by another, as you experience the world. There are usually elements of mindfulness, i.e., your experience of 'being' rather than 'doing' and trying to reach a change in how you feel through self-acceptance.
Currently, all of my practice is online via Zoom, apart from an initial meeting which I offer face-to-face if you would prefer to meet in person to begin with.
Sessions are 50 minutes and I would recommend weekly sessions initially. Once we agree a day and time, this will be your allocated slot each week.
I offer flexible frequency of meetings if this is appropriate (e.g., fortnightly or monthly).
My private practice is based in Hackney, 10 minutes walk from Hackney Downs station.
I do not provide couples counselling or counselling for people under the age of 18.

Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, I am only currently offering on-going therapy sessions online. Therefore, please make sure you have a confidential space where you can talk freely online and that you can access sessions via Zoom.
All initial sessions are up to 50 minutes long and are free of charge. There is no obligation to sign up on either side. The purpose of the meeting is to see if I am the right therapist for you.
The first meeting will not necessarily feel like a therapy session as I will ask more questions than usual in order to guage a comprehensive idea of your needs.
I currently have availability Monday to Wednesday, daytime and evening sessions.
