About me and my therapy practice
My name is Miranda and I am a Integrative Counsellor. I am passionate about helping people to change and heal through the counselling relationship.
I am qualified with a first class Bachelor of Science Degree, an accredited course by BACP from the University of East London.
As an integrative counsellor, my training has allowed me to draw from a number of approaches and provide a personal, tailored approach to clients. I work pluralistically which means I work collaboratively with clients; always providing an opportunity for clients to express what they need from our sessions and ensuring their needs are met throughout our work together.
My philosophy is that we all possess the ability and tools to reach our potential. Even in hard times when it's difficult to see a brighter future, the potential is there and can be unlocked when you are truly heard and understood.
I provide counselling for a broad spectrum of challenges. We are all individual with unique set's of experiences. As a therapist, I work with my client's values and worldview, walking closely alongside them to access their experience in a non-leading way.
Should you be someone wanting to actively partake in therapy, who feels they want something tangible, my integrative training allows me to adapt my work to be more goal focused when required. Whilst I do not provide advice or attempt to diagnose, I am able to provide information on what could be maintaining your problems.
I can provide short term and long term counselling. Equally, I am able to work with you on deep routed issues and one off life events. The main thing is that you decide what works best for you.
I offer counselling online, by telephone and face to face, so access to counselling is flexible.
I understand that finding a therapist who you feel you can be at ease with is important. I therefore offer a free 15 minute consultation, so that you can get a sense of how I work and whether I will be a good fit for what you need.
You can be assured that if you decide to work with me, you will be working with a warm, non-judgemental person who provides a confidential and safe space where you will be truly heard.
