About me and my therapy practiceDown to earth and confidential therapy offered, helping one gain a new perspective on the past and how it effects the present - not always in the way that we may realise, or would ideally like or wish. Although therapy is not 'magic' and takes time and patience, clients finish their therapy at Waterfall House with a new bank of self-knowledge, clarification of issues and, most importantly, unhappy 'cycles' of experience broken. Seeing life and oneself in new ways will bring, it is hoped, a new confidence to cope with and enjoy life overall. I am accustomed to, and like, meeting with people from diverse and varied backgrounds, religions, cultures/beliefs and of all ages, abilities and sexual orientations.
(Currently practising solely online)
My first session
I will take a few basic details in our initial session, and ask you to expand on what your goals are in coming to therapy. I will try to demonstrate the ways in which I work during our first meeting, and explain further how psychodynamic therapy may help in understanding repetitive patterns of behaviour. I try to put people at their ease and appreciate the courage it may take to begin, or return to, therapy. I take notes during sessions in order to make 'connections', right from the beginning of our working alliance, should you wish to continue our work together.
