About me and my therapy practice
I know how hard it can be to reach out to take the first step when you need support. We are all individual, unique and diverse therefor the reasons for seeking therapy vary significantly.
I have extensive experience working with trauma, sexual/physical abuse, substances abuse, addiction, anxiety, depression, self worth etc. I'm a qualified counsellor with expertise in supporting clients to find greater meaning and purpose in their lives.
Together, we will work as intentionally as possible toward symptom relief, crisis resolution, discovery and recognising your own potential. From this, we can devise a plan of how to move forward, framed within collaboratively identified goals.
I support in overcoming blocks, working through current difficulties to achieve greater sense of self and meaning in both personal and professional life.
Practice description
I offer a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space for you to explore any issue that may be worrying you, from difficulties in your relationship, career, bereavement, confidence, poor sleep, self-harm, suicidal thoughts or even trauma through sexual violence or past experiences. My kind, gentle and empathetic nature will help support you every step of the way as you navigate your way through the counselling journey, be that short or long term, depending on your personal requirements and circumstances. I provide a supportive and holding space to explore these difficult thoughts and feelings to gain greater understanding, to work through historical or recent trauma's to find different perspectives, more clarity, to find greater balance, wholeness and connection to yourself and others to lead a more fulfilling and meaningful life. The impact of trauma can be debilitating and all consuming, with many clients' presenting with a vast array of symptoms like flash backs, panic attacks, dissociation, nightmares and mental health conditions like PTSD, personality disorders, OCD, depression and anxiety.
