About me and my therapy practice
As an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist my practice is shaped by my experience working in social justice and wellbeing across diverse range of settings, including the public sector, higher education, and with voluntary community social enterprises.
I work with a wide range of clients from different backgrounds, races, religions and sexualities and have experience working with anxiety, burnout, vicarious trauma, depression, racism, relationships, abuse, low self-esteem, identity, PTSD, activism burnout, life transitions, loss, and bereavement.
I firmly believe in the transformative power of human connection and recognise that fostering a supportive and nurturing environment is essential for healing and personal growth. I also understand that change often requires stepping out of the comfort zone to embrace new challenges. By combining a blend of compassion and challenge, I aim to create a dynamic and empowering therapeutic experience, a space for both vulnerability and exploration. Together, we will work on building healthy coping mechanisms, enhancing self-esteem, developing effective communication skills, and fostering a greater sense of self-compassion and acceptance.
Practice description
My practice is LGBTQI+ affirmative, neurodivergent and trauma informed. I hold intersectional, anti oppressive and feminist values. This means that I recognise that wider societal issues may impact the work we do, as well as your personal experiences.
My approach is integrative. Meaning it’s flexible, intuitive, gentle, and sensitive, yet grounded in a strong theoretical understanding, solid training, and a commitment to lifelong learning. I use various therapeutic methods and techniques to deeply understand your internal world and life experiences, allowing me to tailor the therapy to meet your specific needs.
My first session
If you would like to ask me anything and/or get to know me before booking an initial session, I offer a free, 15-minute consultation call.
Our first 50-minute session will be a chance for you to tell me about yourself and what you would like to get out of therapy, to get to know me and ask questions. This will help you decide if we are a good match and from there, we can agree to work together in an open-ended way or within an agreed timeframe.

About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm and friendly space for reflection.
My practice aims to help you gain insight into yourself and what’s going on for you. I’ll encourage you to pay close attention to your thoughts and feelings and make connections between different parts of your life. I believe that therapy can help you know yourself more fully and that you can make changes to your life based on this understanding.
I’m committed to building trusting and authentic relationship with you and believe therapy should be compassionate, down-to-earth and approachable. I work with you as an individual, with your own stories and your own needs. There is no predetermined programme for recovery but instead a curious, collaborative space where we work together to understand the issues you are facing.
With experience, I also bring a systemic and social justice lens to my work, and I’m happy to help you think about and consider these wider influences on your life.
