About me and my therapy practice
I qualified 8 years ago with a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling. I work mainly in a Person Centred approach, providing the core conditions that I believe are key to successful therapy. I see counselling as a way to give hope, gain the ability to let go of the pains of the past and find new ways of healing.
I am in the process of submitting my application for accreditation with the BACP, having reached over 450 hours post qualification.
I have recently undertaken training in Walk and Talk Therapy, being able to offer this as an alternative to face to face, telephone or online sessions.
During the COVID 19 pandemic, my work was conducted over the telephone and via online sessions. I still offer this an option but I am also able to offer face to face or Walk and Talk Therapy.
My first session
During your first session we will discuss the reasons that have bought you to Therapy and explore whether we feel we can work together to reach your goals. If this is the case then we shall outline a contract as well as expectations you have and goals that you would like to achieve. I currently offer the initial session free of charge in order to be able to assess whether I am the right therapist for you.
