Training and Experience
BA (Hons) in Humanistic Counselling.

As a registered counsellor, I regularly continue my professional development and thus remain up to date with information and principles that enhance my understanding of maintaining a therapeutic practice.
Practice description
I work from a Person-Centred theoretical framework and offer a warm, thoughtful, and compassionate space where you can explore the challenges you are facing without judgement. I am particularly passionate about supporting people through difficult family relationships, especially where experiences such as divorce, infidelity, emotional neglect, or controlling and narcissistic dynamics have had a lasting impact.
I am passionate about supporting those who are navigating transitional stages of life, particularly young adults and those moving through periods of uncertainty, change, or self-discovery. These experiences can often bring questions around relationships, boundaries, confidence, purpose, and identity.
I also work with those who may be struggling with questions around identity, faith, spirituality, and meaning — particularly when past experiences within religion or faith communities have felt confusing, painful, or difficult to process. I have a growing interest in how people make sense of life experiences, loss, relationships, and change, and how this can shape emotional wellbeing and personal growth. To develop my understanding and counselling practice in this area, I will begin a Master’s in Counselling and Psychotherapy, September 2026. I am particularly interested in developing my understanding of bereavement, meaning-making, spirituality, and relational experiences within counselling.
It is my belief that therapy should feel human, safe, and authentic — a space where you do not have to carry burdens alone.
If you feel I would be the right counsellor you, then please contact me. I look forward to hearing from you. Cathy
