About me and my therapy practice

Counselling for Individuals in person, online,  and telephone.  Call, email, text or Whatsapp for a no obligation chat.

I work as an integrative therapist, which means rather than staying with one model of counselling, I use a combination of models and approaches from different theories. I trained as an integrative therapist as I believe this means I can tailor your therapy to your specific needs. I am always happy to discuss my approach and answer any questions you may have.

Face to Face - £50 (55 minutes)

Together we can explore and reflect upon what you feel needs to change in your life. Together we can look at alternative ways of managing these thoughts, feelings and emotions, leading to greater self-knowledge and understanding of relationships not just with others, but importantly with yourself. Coming to counselling will be a rewarding and life changing experience.

Online and Telephone - £50 (55 minutes)

Difficulties with mobility, travelling or the pressures of work and family life can make it difficult to be able to commit to face to face counselling. This is where online counselling with myself can make it convenient and accessible for you to access counselling, but without leaving the comfort of your home.

Practice description

I have worked as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist for the last 12 years, 6 years of those being my own private practice.  My knowledge and skills have developed through my work in my private practice, as a bereavement counsellor and as a counsellor working with clients with physical disabilities. For me, there is always something new to learn from every client I meet and work with. I also have a commitment to regular on-going professional development and clinical supervision every month.

My first session

Coming into counselling can feel strange and anxiety provoking. But the aim for me in our first session together is to help you to feel at ease, and feel that yes, this is something I can and do want to do with Sarah. I can make the changes I want for myself.

When we meet for the first time, one of the first things we will do together it to go through my written contract.  This is not with the expectation that you will wish to continue your counselling after our first session together, but this is very important so that you the client, have a clear idea of what it is I, the therapist can offer you.  This also gives you the opportunity to ask any questions that may arise to help you make your decision.
