" I believe that you have the strength not just to survive but to truly thrive"
Are you experiencing symptoms of anxiety? You’ve tried self-help books, listened to every anxiety podcast, googled every inch of the internet and recited every positivity affirmation and quote hoping to holt the monster that keeps you awake at night.
All you want is to go back to that time in your life when every day wasn’t a constant battle and your bed wasn’t the only place you felt safe. You were happy to wake up in the morning and looked forward to living life to its fullest. Instead, you stuck in the anxiety trap and feel like you are going crazy. The racing heart, dry mouth, pins and needles, always expecting the worse, living in future fear, fear of illness and needing contestant reassurance. The list goes on, Your tired, fed up and use phrases such as “I can’t fight this anymore” “ I give up”.
If this sounds like you, we need to talk a little more about the monster that hides behind the shadows and find out a little more about who they are, where they came from and what they want. You will be surprised to find that the monster you fear was once small itself and on its own mission to protect and keep you safe.
Together we will walk through the forest of fear and rebuild your relationship with anxiety, thanking it for everything it has done on its mission to keep you safe so far, but gently making it aware that the level of alert that it is currently providing isn’t helpful.
Practice description
I have researched and worked with anxiety for over 13 years and offer an integrated therapy drawing on personal experience, research and various counselling models. Together we will work beyond symptom control and delve deep into the heart of anxiety.
I truly believe that anxiety isn’t the monster it makes you believe it is and with some TLC you can re build the relationship with understanding and empathy.
I have experience of working within the NHS, private practice and education and I am a current member of the BACP.
I offer face to face (Chorlton), outdoors, telephone and video therapy sessions and can combine all methods during our time together to suit your needs.
I understand the importance of finding a counsellor that you can connect with so please get in touch if you feel a connection with my page and we can discuss your hopes and goals for counselling. I can also answer any questions you may have regarding the service I offer.
