About me and my therapy practiceHi, I’m Anita, a warm welcome to InReach Counselling & Wellbeing. During challenging periods of life, our thoughts and feelings can often be hard to make sense of, I can help you in reaching a more positive place of self-acceptance & wellbeing.
I work from a person-centred, emotion-focussed approach, which puts each client’s unique journey at the heart of the work. I believe you have the inner abilities to find solutions to your challenges. I won’t tell you what to do or what choices to make, as you know yourself better than anyone.
In working with me, you will not be judged for the choices you are making or have made in the past. However, if these choices are no longer working for you, we will explore alternative ways of approaching your life, to regain that sense of fulfilment & wellbeing. at a pace that is comfortable for you.
My first session
The first session is your opportunity to decide if working with me feels comfortable & right for you. I offer a gentle, non judgemental approach, working at your pace.
I will explain how I work therapeutically & look at the importance of confidentiality & contracting.
You will be able to tell me what you hope to get out of the counselling sessions & help me to understand how you are experiencing life right now.
