About me and my therapy practice
Jan 2021: Due to the move for Northamptonshire to Tier 4, and the increasing COVID-19 infection rates, it has become necessary to pause the provision of face-to-face sessions. Online and telephone options continue to be available, and both are an effective way of meeting for counselling.
On balance of the advice from the government, my insurers, and also the BACP, this is the safest way of working for the next few weeks.
As a professional therapeutic counsellor, I have the training and experience required to support you through the challenges you face.
With a calm and empathic nature, I offer a safe and confidential space to offload about, and explore the things that matter most to you.
Because I am not a part of your everyday life, you can feel more able to say what you REALLY think and feel about things, without fear of being judged or upsetting someone.
In your sessions we might talk about depression, anxiety, self-esteem, anger, abuse, relationships or bereavement - or something else.
There are no minimum or maximum number of sessions, so we can take things at your pace, with no rush and no pressure.
First steps
Getting started in counselling can feel like a step into the unknown, and therefore takes courage.
You might have questions about counselling, or the way I work, and we can begin discussing these by email, ’phone or text.
The next step is to arrange an initial 30 minute consultation, which costs £20 and comes with absolutely no obligation to begin counselling with me.
Couples counselling
I am qualified to work with individuals and also couples, whether married or not. Plus other relationships such as a parent and child, or work colleagues.
