About me and my therapy practiceAs a Person-centred therapist I look to establish a therapeutic relationship with you based upon empathy, authenticity and unconditional positive regard. This approach recognises the importance of our individual life experiences and the unique ways in which they impact us. Through the establishment of an effective therapeutic relationship, together we can revisit experiences to understand their significance and move towards greater self-understanding and acceptance.
I have experience of working with a range of issues such as anxiety & depression, childhood trauma, life change, loss and bereavement. I currently provide counselling for a Carers' Charity and Victim Support

My first session
To get the most out of counselling it's important to find a counsellor that is a good fit for you. To enable this, I offer a free 20-minute 'taster' when we can discuss your reasons for considering counselling and I can answer any questions you may have. This conversation usually takes place via Zoom or by telephone. My hope is that this will also enable you to decide whether I'm the right counsellor to help you.
