About me and my therapy practice

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist. I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, and the United Kingdom of Registered Counsellor/Psychotherapists.

I am based in North West London seeing clients with a wide range of issues which include, abuse, anxiety, anger, bereavement, depression, lack of confidence, low self esteem, obsessions and compulsions, panic attacks, relationship issues, stress, team and work related issues.

Having worked in social care for twenty years I developed a particular interest in working with end of life issues, those working in the caring profession and carers caring for a relative. My knowledge and experience in these fields is significant. In addition, I have worked effectively for many years with relatives of survivors of the Holocaust.

My method of working is psychodynamic. Psychodynamic psychotherapy works with unconscious processes, which are patterns of behaviour learnt in early childhood. I believe these learnt behaviours form the person you become and inform the way you conduct your life. These behaviours support you for a while and then they become less effective. In time they can become detrimental to your wellbeing.  Sometimes you become stuck, depressed, unable to make decisions, make poor decisions, or move on with your life. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore your thoughts and feelings and process your early childhood. Identifying early patterns of behaviour enable you to make changes and make better life choices.  If you decide to choose me I look forward to supporting you to make the changes you need to move on with your life.

Practice description

I see clients either face to face or via Zoom on a weekly basis. Seeing clients weekly ensures continuity. Sessions last for 50 minutes. At the first meeting we arrange a mutually convenient day and time of the week to meet, this day and time is specifically reserved for the client. However, I am flexible and if a client cannot make a session I will always try and rearrange it with them.
