About me and my therapy practice
My name is Maurice. I have been a councellor for over 15yrs.
I am fully qualified and a registered member of BACP
My role is to guide, assist and help you understand yourself, supporting you through the changes you wish to make. Through authentic and genuine dialogue, we will discover new tools and strategies to find the person you were meant to be.
I offer a holistic approach based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which in layman’s terms means talking. CBT deals with your current problems, rather than solely focusing on issues from your past and is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a vicious cycle.
Practice descriptionDue to the Covid restictions im present working through Zoom or Skype or on the phone but outside of these restriction i would work face to face.
My first session
Our first session where we can discuss your needs, and what you hope to acheive from our time together. We will create a contract with each other and look at the best way forward. I receive regular supervision which is kept at all time confidential. I offer one hour per sessions.
