About me and my therapy practice
Counselling helps us think about what is currently happening in our lives . The way we react to a set of circumstances or problems can be rooted in our past , which then effects how we react to these in the present. My role as a therapist is to listen to your story and to work with you in a supportive and containing way to make sense of what is currently causing you to feel depressed, anxious, stressed or worried.
By validating the importance of your feelings, it enables us to work together within the therapeutic relationship to explore and think about possible ways forward.
I am experienced counsellor and have been counselling for 12 years since finishing my training at Roehampton University.
I work in an integrative and relational way which is informed by both Psychodynamic and humanistic ways of thinking. This means that it is a non- judgemental ,safe and confidential way of working.
Currently I am working using Zoom, whatsapp, or phone from my home .
My first session
I normally suggest an introductory session so I can discover what has led you to seek counselling at this time and for us both to see how we feel about working together .
